A vibrant neighborhood restaurant located in East Harlem serving fun, thoughtful and eclectic food and beverage. Chef and Peruvian native Oscar Lorenzzi heads the kitchen, and sommeliers and social advocates Yannick Benjamin and Mara Rudzinski head the hospitality and social outreach programming. With deep ties within the disability community in Harlem and beyond, Contento will use its resources and space for programming focused on social sustainability. Contento’s philosophy is simple, leave the doors open behind so you won’t be the last one in.
The Solera Project’s programming will focus on two key areas: programs to build hospitality skills through job training and nutritional programs that educate and promote healthy living. Contento's mission is to provide access to good food and the resources to build a sustainable lifestyle for all.
